UNFOLD began with
a simple observation.
Sometimes, the answer isn't more. It's different.
A different explanation. A different entry point. More time. More challenge.
A stronger foundation. Or simply having someone take the time to understand what is getting in the way.
After years of teaching learners with different strengths, needs and ways of thinking, I wanted to create a space where learning could be more responsive and personal where instruction could adapt to the learner, rather than asking the learner to continually adapt to the instruction.
That idea became UNFOLD.
A learning atelier built around thoughtful teaching, meaningful relationships,
and the belief that with the right support, every learner can find a way forward.

We start by discovering each learner’s strengths, interests, and challenges then build learning experiences that invite them to wonder, explore and engage.

With the right support and meaningful challenges, learners experience progress, take risks, and begin to trust themselves as capable learners.

Skills create independence.
Learners develop strategies and skills they understand and can use on their own; building independence that extends well beyond our time together.
The UNFOLD Learning Atelier
French & English Literacy · Mathematics · Learning Support
Focused, one-to-one instruction designed around each learner’s strengths, needs, and goals. Lessons adapt in the moment to build understanding, confidence, and independence.
60 minutes · Grades 1–8
Intentionally small group of 2–4 learners working toward similar goals. Targeted instruction is balanced with collaboration and meaningful practice, while allowing each learner to receive individualized support.
2–4 learners · Grades 1–8
A focused conversation for families who aren't quite sure where to begin.
We'll talk through what you're noticing, identify the questions that matter most, and consider possible next steps for your learner.
60 minutes
A more in-depth review of your learner's needs and current supports.
Relevant documentation may be reviewed—including IEPs, assessments, report cards or school information—to help clarify strengths, needs, accommodations and practical next steps.

UNFOLD is grounded in extensive classroom experience across Primary, Junior and Intermediate grades, with particular expertise in French language, language acquisition and French Immersion. A broad background in literacy, numeracy and learning skills shapes an approach that considers not only what a learner is learning, but how they learn best.
My experience includes structured literacy and evidence-informed reading instruction, assessment and intervention, differentiated instruction, IEP development and implementation, and support for students with diverse learning profiles.
